Being a volunteer with the Global Eye Project allows the people we serve to enjoy your many skills and talents, but, in return, it offers the volunteers many rewards.
Whether you are a medical professional who seeks to “give back” to society and communities, or to experience an alternative life experience, or to see amazing pathology, we can find a great place for you.
Telemedicine…yes, we can use your skills if you have time to consult. Do it…get involved. It will be so rewarding.
We also need all kinds of other skills. Do you know about computers, web design, fund raising? Are you great with communication, can you organize supplies, can you organize and sort? Even if you don’t feel that you have a special skill, if you want to help, let us know about your self and we can find a great place for you as well. Volunteering can be an experience side by side with us in the field, or you can help us right from home. Let’s work together to get great things done!
Watch this video for a general overview of how we ran our mobile eye clinics in Haiti and what it means to be a volunteer.
Please feel free to contact us, and tell us a bit about yourself and what you wish to offer. We will be happy to contact you back to begin the discussion.
If you are a health care provider in training, or one who wishes to train, please let us know, and we can work to make the experience fit your talents and skills.
*Please note that all volunteers are responsible for their airfare, and a small fee for room and board.
